Richard Lebovitz

Richard Lebovitz is a third generation attorney who followed his brother, father, and grandfather into the profession and practiced with them for more than a decade before coming to Baltimore in 2005. The inheritance of several generations of legal experience gives him a unique perspective on the practice.

Despite an old school upbringing, the other attorneys at Maslan Maslan & Rothwell acknowledge that Lebovitz is the primary force behind the technological advancements within the firm helping to develop everything from the new website, to the use of iPhones and social media such as Twitter. He blogs frequently about contemporary legal trends and changes in the law on his Completely E-Legal account.

Lebovitz was recognized by Completely E-Legal in September 2011 for the most viewed profile of the week and setting a record for most viewed content for his post on the “New one year no fault divorce clause.” Additionally, it was the number one result on Google for the topic during the week ending 9/24/11.

“Above all, clients want to be confident with the lawyer who is handling their important matters,” said Lebovitz “I advocate for their needs and aggressively protect their rights. Through technology I keep up with current legal issues to make sure that my clients are getting the best representation that I can provide.”

Lebovitz earned degrees from Emory College in Atlanta and Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh. He and his wife are the proud parents of two teenagers. When not practicing law, Lebovitz enjoys traveling, working on his yard, and spending time with family and friends.
